How it works
1  Export balances CSV from Monarch
2  Upload the file to RetirePlanAI
3  Confirm the auto-matched accounts
4  Review the changes and apply
FOUR SIMPLE STEPS

From Export to Updated Plan

In Monarch, go to Settings → Data → Download account balances to get the CSV. Everything after that happens inside RetirePlanAI.

  • Auto-matching: Accounts are matched by their masked account number or by name, so most rows are ready to confirm
  • Remembered mappings: Once you map an account, future imports match it automatically — every import after the first is just a quick review
  • Safe by default: Stale balances are left unchecked, and liabilities like credit cards and loans are skipped
You stay in control — nothing is written to your plan until you review and apply.
PRIVACY FIRST

Your File Is Never Stored

The import is built to be private. Your CSV is read in memory to pull the latest balance for each account, then discarded.

  • Processed in memory: The uploaded file is never written to our servers
  • Balances only: Only the most recent balance per account is used — no transaction history is read
  • You choose what applies: Every row is yours to include, remap, or ignore
  • Optional cross-scenario sync: Update the matching account across your other what-if scenarios in the same step

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get the CSV from Monarch?

In Monarch, open Settings → Data → Download account balances. That gives you a CSV of your account balances, which you upload to RetirePlanAI.

Does this connect to my Monarch account?

No. There is no account linking. You export a file yourself and upload it. RetirePlanAI never has access to your Monarch login or a live connection.

Is my file stored anywhere?

No. The CSV is processed in memory to read the latest balance for each account and is never saved to our servers. Only the balances you choose to apply are written to your plan.

Do I have to remap my accounts every time?

No. Your mappings are remembered. After the first import, matched accounts are recognized automatically, so each future update is just a quick review.
